About Erickson Cavaliers
CHATTANOOGA TN
Hello, my name is Alayne, my husband Dave and I are the proud owners of Erickson Cavaliers. We have five lively children who are all actively engaged in the training and caring of our dogs, and all the new pups. We live in Tennessee close to Chattanooga proper. All our dogs are AKC registered and OFA tested. We will not sell breeding rights unless we personally know you, and your family.
Our cavaliers are by far the greatest dogs we have ever welcomed into our home. Winnie is so funny! She is sweet, docile, but she has zero grace! She is a fantastic family pet! Then we added Willow to the mix and she is more energetic and graceful. She is sleek and gentle towards everyone. Hollywood is our newest addition and he is so awesome. He is the most relaxed dog I have ever had. We call him Chonky even though his official name is Hollywood, because that name just stuck as he is built like a tank and walks around with the attitude of a big dude with no worries. He just happily follows the girls around the home and if I am sitting then he takes up his position at my feet. These dogs are our family pets so you can be assured that we carefully follow the advice of our vet and take the time to make sure their nutrition and care is top notch. Then all our puppies see our vet and receive their first round of shots at 6 weeks.

When you contact us you will be hearing from either myself, Alayne, or Anika, my oldest daughter. It's all hands on deck with the care, training and cuddling of our puppies. Anika and I handle the website, social media and the pup's new families. However, Livy, Tucker and Theo are very much in charge of puppy duty. The kids love the puppies and all take turns with late nights and early mornings to care for the new puppies. All our pups are snuggled daily and kennel trained by night. Then when the puppies are a couple of weeks old our oldest son returns from college to take pictures for the website, so as you can see, it's a family affair! And we love it!

Meet the Kids
This is my "Why"
Our neighbors had a King Charles Cavalier that bred with a Chihuahua! We were able to go over and watch the birth. We picked out a pup and adopted a chilier puppy named JoJo. She was a good dog...but delightfully neurotic. Since we happened to be in the same friend circle as the other families that took Jojo's siblings, we observed that the puppies that took after the mom (cavalier) were SO family friendly. Meanwhile, our dog (Jojo) preferred older people and hid from the kids. My kids were so desperate to be loved that I started to look for a purebred King Charles Cavalier.

And that was the beginning! We found Winnie and snatched her up! She has been the most wonderful addition to our family! She is always ready to play and never wants to miss out on where the action is at in the home. She gives tons of snuggles until she hears more noise in the next room and then she's off to her next adventure. Since I have five kids it was very important that she loved all my kids and not just one....and this breed is amazing! She loves all of us with no preference...she's just part of the family. No worries if you are older too. She does love her long naps preferably on laps, and is always looking for an adult to hold her or take her for walks.

Then after a little while with Winnie we couldn't resist adding another puppy to our home! So in came Willow! She is a delight. She has such a different personality from Winnie, but true to breed while she isn't as daring or loud as Winnie she is joyful and happy. We should have named her Prancer as she loves to prance around in order to keep up with the kids and harass Winnie as much as possible.

And then we did it again! Chonky (Hollywood) is so funny! He just wanders around the home expecting to be loved. He has a little daytime snort and snores while napping. At any given time you can catch him resting near me in the home or trying to get his belly belt off by rubbing against the chairs. Have no fear with your male puppies though. Chonky was raised in a kennel as a breeding dog. We adopted him and have him in our home. Since he was used to a kennel and since he is not fixed he always wants to mark his territory! So we just keep a belly band on him while he is chillin in the home. Our boy puppies potty train well and once they are fixed they have no problem with wanting to mark their territory. This is not a stubborn potty training breed. They are very bright and our families tell us that they train pretty quickly.

Statement of Faith
What Motivates Us
We as a family recognize our need for Christ and His redemptive plan for our lives. Each of us has an individual testimony about how we became believers, even the young ones. This impacts the way we live our lives and run our business. We desire to have the utmost integrity in everything we do and hope that this can be seen and felt through the way we respect and communicate with our puppy families. Below I have written a broad statement of faith, and then I have added a link to our home church.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the son of the Living God. That he was born of a virgin and came to earth to die for our sins. All men (and women) are born in sin therefore needing salvation and that there is no way to enter heaven without repentance, acknowleding that perfect blood was shed for each person and then surrending their life to God.
